Here is a link for the writable application for personal plates. The second page contains a link to the plate designs. Please make sure to specify the title of the plate design, "the one with the mountains" doesn't tell us much.
If you want just a background we can get it upon registration and you will not be charged an additional service fee. If you want specialized characters, they will come much later. You will be issued a standard MT license plate to keep you legally on the road, due to the lengthy process.
There is a $200, non-refundable service fee associated with this transaction. Once the plates are issued and arrive you will be billed the state fee. The base fee is $36.05, if you choose a sponsor background the listed donation fee will also be added. Please understand that the service fee is charged even if the plate verbiage is not available because we are charged by the processing center. I recommend you send the max number of options which is 3 per application. If you would like to reapply the fee drops to $50 per request.
